Opportunity Details
Mercy Brown Bag Program, Sort/Deliver Food for Seniors - Oakland (Bay Area)
Mercy Brown Bag Program has been supporting low-income Alameda County older adults by providing nutritious groceries monthly for over 30 years.
Since the pandemic, volunteers have stepped up to ensure we keep our elders safe by creating nutritious bags of groceries instead of our regular “shopping” style of distribution and delivering them to our members’ homes at no charge.
New volunteers are needed to ensure we meet the growing need. Volunteers help us with unloading our delivery trucks, sorting and organizing food, making grocery bags and delivering to senior's homes.
