Fair Oaks is a warm and friendly free tax preparation site that sees hundreds of clients each year. Volunteers are needed on Thursdays between 1:30pm and 6 pm. Please work with the Site Coordinator to find the dates that work best with your schedule! Spanish speaking volunteers are especially needed.

Learn all of the details about volunteering for Earn It! Keep It! Save It! - a free VITA tax preparation service powered by United Way Bay Area. This orientation will give an overview of the program, walk you through how to register for a tax site on our website, provide details about training, and will leave time for questions. Orientation is highly recommended for new volunteers! Types of orientations: ONLINE ONLY orientations mean that you can simply join us from the comfort of your home or office! Renaissance Entrepreneurship Center (VITA)

DAYS OF OPERATION: Mondays and Wednesdays from Jan. 27, 2020 through Apr. 15, 2020. SHIFT TIMES: - Monday 4PM - 8PM. - Wednesday 4PM - 8PM. - Simply choose ONE of the above shifts that you can do on a weekly basis! If you can do both shifts, that's great but not required. ROLES / LANGUAGES NEEDED: We need volunteer tax preparers! GOOGLE MAP: 1848 Bay Rd, East Palo Alto, CA 94303. SITE COORDINATOR: Alex Nerguizian. NOTE ABOUT SHIFT ABSENCES: If you need to miss a couple of our shifts (due to pre-planned vacations, family obligations, work, sick), that is okay! Just be sure to let us know in advance since our entire staff is made up of volunteers and we need to make sure we have enough coverage. About Renaissance Entrepreneurship Center Renaissance Entrepreneurship Center has been participating in the local Earn It! Keep It! Save It! tax coalition for 5+ years! Our site team is small but mighty, helping ~250 taxpayers each tax season, by appointment. To sign up for our site as a volunteer, simply click on the "+ or -" sign next to the first operating day below (for the day of the week that you want to do). For example, if you only want to volunteer on Wednesdays from 4-8pm, click on the "+/-" symbol next to the first Wednesday 4-8pm date. Then click on the "Sign Up" button! You will automatically be added to all of the shifts for that specific day/time of the week. After signing up, you should receive an email confirmation! NEXT: Sign up for training. Samaritan House helps hundreds of taxpayers each year and is looking to grow its volunteer tax team! We will be open Feb. 4, 2020 through Apr. 8, 2020 on: Tuesdays 10AM - 2PM, Wednesdays 3PM - 6PM, and Alternating Saturdays 10AM - 2PM (specifically: 2/8, 2/22, 3/7, 3/21 and 4/4) We especially need volunteers who are bilingual in English/Spanish! United Way Bay Area hosts pop-up free tax preparation events throughout tax season. Express interest here to be added to our notification list for special event volunteers. We primarily need Advanced Certified tax volunteers who already have some experience volunteering at their regular site, though Spanish translators are also needed.
