Mask Makers (Virtual Opportunity)

UWBA is looking for generous volunteers to help with the shortage of masks in the Bay Area. If you have access to fabric and a sewing machine, your donation of cloth face masks can be very helpful as the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) weighs its recommendation on use. Masks will be given to the homeless, families, and on-site volunteers to minimize the spread of COVID-19. (These will NOT be used by medical professionals and are not considered medical grade.) Please express interest to let us know that you will be sending masks and to get the next steps. We will set-up various drop off for you to deliver them. If you are unable to sew, but want to donate new 100% material please let us know. Thank you in advance for helping United Way to fight Covid-19. UWBA team United Way Bay Area is a nonprofit organization in the Bay Area poverty.
